LIBERTY HILL FAIR & RODEO PARADE APPLICATION
Yeeeehaaaw!!! You are invited to participate in the 1st Annual Liberty Hill Fair & Rodeo Parade on Saturday, April 9th! The Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. rain or shine.
The Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce will be awarding the best Rodeo and Western themed Parade Entry. Please see bottom of application for more information on the award.
STAGING OF THE PARADE WILL BE AT THE OLD LIBERTY HILL FOOTBALL STADIUM BEHIND THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AT 1400 LOOP 332.
CHECK IN WILL BEGIN AT 8:30. LINE-UP WILL BE IN ORDER OF COMPLETE PARADE ENTRY UNITS ARRIVAL ONLY. We are asking that you carpool as much as possible, since parking is limited. This will also help you in getting your entire unit to parade check in together. Please drop participants off in the circular drive in front of the Elementary School. Stadium Drive will be open for floats only. ***Parents and drivers will need to pick participants up at Liberty Hill Intermediate school near Foundation Park, where the parade will end.*** There will be a kids fair in Foundation Park from 11a.m. - 2p.m. with a petting zoo, bounce house, cake walk, western photo booth, dunking booth, food, cotton candy and more!
8:00 a.m. - Staging area open
8:30 a.m. - Check-in will begin
9:00 a.m. - ALL FLOATS MUST ARRIVE BY 9:00 a.m.
9:15 a.m. - Judging will begin
9:30 a.m. - ALL RIDERS AND WALKERS MUST ARRIVE BY 9:30 a.m.
9:45 a.m. - Judging of the floats and winners announced
10:00 a.m. - National Anthem and Prayer
Completed Applications are due by Monday, April 4th, but please enter as soon as possible.
THE PARADE LINE-UP WILL BE A FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE LINE UP, AND ALL UNITS MUST REMAIN IN THEIR ASSIGNED POSITION, unless necessary changes need to me made.
The Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce Parade committee reserves the right to reject any entry that is not in good taste, inappropriate, or not in the best interest of the parade. All music, floats and any activity must be family-friendly and no obscenities.
The theme of the Parade is “Rodeo and Western” and all entries should be decorated to promote said theme.
Drivers of motorized vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and should drive at a reasonable pace. Entries may not stop during the parade, unless there is an emergency. Entrants will be asked to follow at a reasonable rate (approximately 20’ gap between motorized entries, and approximately 10’ gap between marching parade units).
All walking parade entrants must be able to maintain a marching pace and keep up with the pace of the parade.
Trailers entered should be no longer than 20’ unless they are gooseneck or 5th wheel – must let us know.
All parade participants are required to conduct themselves in such a manner as not to infringe on the rights of residents and merchants along the parade route.
Candy and other light weight goodies may be thrown to the crowd along the parade route or staging area. Please help your float participants toss the candy a safe distance away from the wheels and moving objects. Remember to pace yourself with the candy, you have approximately 1.2 miles of spectators!
Equestrian and animals units must provide their own accompanying clean-up personnel and equipment.
Do NOT exit the parade early or allow any participant to get off of the float in motion or after it has left the staging grounds. Performers will be allowed to exit the float in downtown to perform.
The parade ends at the Liberty Hill Intermediate School near Foundation Park. Participants are not allowed to ride on the float back to the staging grounds or leave the parking lot of the Intermediate School on the float. Please direct all parents and anyone picking up to the Liberty Hill Intermediate School parking lot.

Immediately before the Liberty Hill Fair and Rodeo Parade kicks off, an award will be given to the winning parade entry based on the category listed on first page of application. The award winner will be given a banner to “wear” during the Parade and to keep as their award! Judging will take place prior to the parade by qualified judges, starting approximately 45 minutes prior to the start time for the parade.To qualify, units must be in their assigned line-up position and ready for judging by 9:15 a.m. The Parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and registration and line-up will open at 8:00 a.m.
